Vietnam Gambling
It’s a really funny scenario in Vietnam right now. The government recently banned gambling in the gambling loving country in a bid to crack down on illegal online gambling outfits and bring an end to under aged gambling. I know, it looks like the government is trying to do good by protecting gamblers, but the ban was issued at the most inopportune time. A Vietnam government owned company, VDCNET2E has been working with Casino Development, an online casinos games software provider, since December 2010 to develop an online card game portal. The two companies have been working o develop a browser based card game portal online. So you see the timing of the new gambling ban couldn’t be any worse. I’m sure the folks at government owned company VDCNET2E and Casino Development are sure scratching their heads too especially since the new games portal was expected to draw in more than 10 million users once launched and expansion plans to include more online casino games were also underway. Well looks like all their plans have gone kaput and Vietnamese players will just have to wait till the gambling ban situation is resolved.
